I guess I was a little underwhelmed. I’ve been to Irish pubs around the globe (you get a really great contrast and comparison if you’ve stepped foot in the Old Dubliner in Chengdu, China), so I have some idea of what to expect. And my reaction to ATB was “blech”. The beer came quickly, the food was good, the service OK. It just seemed… to theme-y. Too artificial. The Celtic Swell down in Alki and Paddy Coynes in South Lake Union have more ambiance and character then ATB. More soul maybe. I’m just not excited enough to head over there again. I think I’ll stick with the Swell for now. Especially since I can walk home from Alki! ;)
