My wife and I just came from having a fantastic meal at Jones Bar-B-Q. I understand that a new crew is running the place now, so if you haven’t been by in awhile you should make a beeline. The ribs were literally melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauce was the perfect blend of smoky and sweet. The potato salad was church social style-creamy and delicious. The greens were stellar, not too salty and just the right kind of bitter. The cole slaw was fresh, mild and tasty dressing, not all mayonnaise-y. We brought the banana pudding home for later because, dang, we were full!

And the service was marvelous. Kristina was our hostess and she made us feel like we were in her house. Generous, funny, friendly, and down home. We need to make sure these folks stay in the neighborhood. Git on over there ! 5 stars!

I have to agree. My husband and I get the Groupons for this restaurant. The last time we were there we asked to use Apple Pay. The lady taking our order said she wasn’t sure how to do it, so I offered to show her. It was cute that she thought it was so neat. We went home with some awesome take-away dinner and she learned a new trick. Win-win!

I don’t know anything about the Pecos BBQ going in across from Taco Time, but my bet is on Jones to be my pick. Love that cute little place.

braytonak – If you find yourself in SODO during the lunch hour check out the Pecos (original location) if you can. My favorite there is the meat of choice, sauce of choice on a smoked sweet potato. Its really yummy!

Even though both are bbq places, if this Pecos is like SODO location – their offerings are different. I like both places. ;)

Were the greens at Jones smokey? I love me some smoky greens, but not all greens are prepared w/ smoked pork product.

I’d say they were smoky but not overly so. They were really good. And the potlikker was like a tasty soup.
