c@lbobMemberI had the Los Lobos breakfast this morning – a chorizo and black bean scramble topped with cheddar, spicy and not at all greasy, just a great eye opener. It came with hash browns, crisp and delicious, also not greasy; and toast.
I’m not one of the “in crowd”, just a schleppy old guy with a beard, and all the wait staff were courteous and efficient.
I’m just sayin’…

JiggersMemberHonestly, I hate going their on the weekends. I go once during the weekdays though because it is much faster. I don’t get why people like to wait their for 20 minutes then wait another 20 minutes for their food on the weekends.

dhgParticipantI’m with jiggers. Lovely food, wait is too long. And while I’m at it, the broken down furniture motif has run its course. Time for an upgrade, EZST

villagegreenMemberThe place is genius during the week. Just gotta pick your times better. If you’re planning on a weekend, better get there before 9:30.

charlabobParticipantI actually still like the broken down look (as long as I don’t sit in the cracked plastic booth) :-) (This) woman cannot live by industrial loft style design alone.
We were there early (for a Saturday — 9 a.m.) and didn’t have any wait. We figured no one would be standing outside in the rain. The food service was reasonable, though not lightning fast and we got our coffee right away.
Another thing I like (which may launch a rant at moi :-) ) is that even though they’re crowded, they don’t make the people lucky enough to be seated feel rushed. I probably wouldn’t like that quite as much if I were one of the people waiting.

JenVMemberbecause not only do I want young hipsters looking down their noses at my musical selections, I also want them looking down on my choice of breakfast meats.
Skylark breakfast FTW!!

inactiveMemberNew Wavos Rancheros, sub with black bean salsa. Yum town!
I go in weekdays every now and again and haven’t had too long to wait. Plus, the last time I was in there, some wonderful unknown stranger had already paid for my breakfast when I asked for my ticket. I didn’t recognize anyone there and have no idea who did it. It made my day. So now I REALLY have big love for Easy Street patrons too.

KimberleyParticipantI love Easy Street and usually hit it up Friday mornings before work (Little Richard for me, West Seattle breakfast burrito w/chorizo for the other half). I’m sad that Darcy is leaving us in a few months – she makes the best lattes ever!
Sure, Easy Street and other places are packed on the weekends, but that’s what happens when you hit a place at peak brunch hour – I try to go earlier and have never had a problem being seated right away.

DMParticipantI agree with Kimberley: I love Easy Street for breakfast and the “Little Richard”. The food and service are great, and I enjoy the atmosphere: An easy place to just sit, eat and be. When ever I’ve eaten breakfast at Easy Street there’s been a wide variety of folks. No hipster attitude. I walk in with my gray head of hair and they are attentive and friendly as can be…If it’s a good place to eat breakfast, it’s going to be crowded on the weekend mornings.

swimcatMemberIt’s funny, we go there early on Saturday or Sunday mornings (my one year old is an early riser), and we get faster service on the weekends than I have during the week.
I love their breakfasts- good food, great prices, and I love the wait staff. They are so kind to our daughter, even when she leaves a big mess on the floor!

bird87MemberMy roommate and I try to make it every weekend. It has become of our traditions. The wait can be long and the food takes even longer to come, but it always tastes great and the staff is amazing. I feel 100% comfortable in there. Hipsters are on the Hill not in the West. Were a different kind of cool ;)
My only rant is about the older lady barista who never smiles and practically throws my latte at me as I wait for a table. Ouch! Live a little.
