There are lots of nettles on Jacobsen (along the south side of Me-Kwa-Mooks park). I’ve heard that the city sprays for blackberries there, though. And I think it was considerably later in the spring when we started seeing them there last year. And, last I heard, foraging in parks was technically illegal. So, this might be the least helpful answer ever!
I find them in a vacant lot near my house on Alki. When you know what they look like, you’ll see them everywhere. I wrote this post for my Outlander Plant Guide. I know they are all over Camp Long but am not sure if it’s okay to harvest there. PCC carries chopped nettles in their bulk spices area. I used it for tea, especially with mint. So good!
