Job Title: Part-Time Studio Assistant
Location: West Seattle

I’m seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Part-Time Studio Assistant to support a professional artist’s studio operations, primarily in the areas of order fulfillment and potentially photography. The role is perfect for a high school student or college student passionate about the arts, looking for a unique opportunity to see the behind-the-scenes life of a full-time artist (painter) and small business owner.

Key Responsibilities:
Follow detailed instructions for packing art prints and original artworks according to established standards.
Pick up art prints from a local printer, package them with packing slips generated from Shopify, and prepare them for shipping.
Handle original artwork with care, transport pieces to a UPS facility for professional packing and shipping.
Monitor shipping supplies inventory and alert artist when packing supplies needs to be re-ordered.
Interest in photography is a plus, especially for those looking to develop a portfolio. Opportunity to assist with photography artwork/studio shots for social media available, if the applicant is interested.

Qualifications:
Comfortable working independently and following detailed written instructions.
Able to work a variable schedule, ranging from 2 to 10 hours per week, depending on the season.
Familiarity with Slack and Shopify is a plus, but not required.
Detail-oriented and not afraid to ask questions.
Passionate about the arts.
Must be able to handle delicate materials with care.
Able to commute to a West Seattle location.
