Yes, I searched the archives but nothing’s been posted for a long time.

I used to go to the one in the little strip mall at 35th and Fauntleroy just because I usually find myself taking the bridge a few times a week, and it was on my route, but they’ve closed. So I need a new dry cleaner, one that also will do some small repairs and alternations and isn’t outrageously expensive.

    Thanks in advance

I’m in the market to find a good, reasonably priced cleaners as well, that launders shirts as well as does dry cleaning. I used a local one for years that laundered my shirts with no starch for $1, then raised the price to just over $3 which was still affordable. But now they have new management and charge $6 or $7 or more for women’s shirts – not so much for men’s – and claim it’s because they are hand pressed, which means they use their hands to operate the pressing machine they’ve always used. Their operation is in an open area and I can watch them press. Sometimes the shirts came back with wrinkles, too. I’ve found this same line and prices at several local cleaners now, with higher prices for women’s shirts and have decided to just launder and press them myself.

I’ve tried almost all of them in WS and now use House of Cleen on Fauntleroy by the bridge. Very reasonable and they do good work. Good luck.
