Anybody pick up a couple of stray cards off the bus? Had them for my ride home on the 56/57 Friday night. Monday morning I couldn’t find them, even though they have to be someplace obvious.

It’s a blue Orca card and a plain white office cardkey, nothing printed on it but there’s some writing in black Sharpie.

Arrgh, I know they’ll turn up just right after I give up looking and get them replaced.

JKB, have you contacted Metro’s Lost & Found, in case the driver found the cards, (or a passenger found them and turned them in to the driver)?

Just a note though, I got an e-mail from Metro earlier today, stating that due to construction near their office, the Customer Service number; 206-553-3000, could be disrupted overnight until 6:00 am tomorrow.

Also, did you register your ORCA Card? If so, you can put a freeze on its use, and if you end up getting a replacement card, they can transfer the balance from the old one to the new one.

Yes, and no. Called lost+found, they put me on hold for ten minutes, then said no such cards had turned up. So either they hadn’t, or that’s how long it takes to go out for a smoke.

And I hadn’t registered the Orca. Didn’t know about registering. And while it’s in the fine print, they sure don’t make it clear. Anyway, without registering it they won’t do a thing.

Does 553-3000 ring at the 2d&Jackson office? The street there is certainly under a lot of construction. That’s actually where I went to inquire – I was standing in their lobby calling the number.

I don’t know for sure if 553-3000 rings in to that office, but presume it does, since that’s their Main Office.
