WSMomParticipantTrick…you’re awesome!!

WSMomParticipantHagee is a sad little man. It’s too bad we have to pay any attention to the words of men like him. What did McCain once call Falwell, a “agent of intolerance”. I’d place Hagee in that category. One more reason John McCain has lost any respect I might have harbored for him.
May 21, 2008 at 8:09 pm #618725
AnonymousInactiveAnd pretty soon we’re going to hear the *but he wasn’t his pastor for 20 years* cry. It is still relevant, as the article you posted pin-pointed. McCain is actively seeking the endorsement of these people to appease the far-right conservative crowd. When called on it, his answer is , well I don’t agree with EVERYTHING they say but I’m grateful for their endorsement.
Where is the outrage over McCain not denouncing these idiots. I’ll take *god damn America* over *the holocaust was the Jews own fault*, any day.
May 29, 2008 at 9:56 pm #618726
beachdrivegirlParticipantYesterday McCains aids are being questioned by the feds and today another wishy-washy McCain moment. The Global Warming Bill that McCain had supported three weeks ago he now doesnt want it to pass. I guess in his age, it is difficult for him to remember where his stance is supposed to be on issues…

Maybe this will clarify what that whole thing was all about.
Basically, it has nothing to do with McCain and that is why it is not a big deal.
May 30, 2008 at 1:09 am #618728
beachdrivegirlParticipantI understand why they are being interviewed it is because of Renzi. And considering that Renzi (shady association)was on his campaign and McCain never actually removed him from his campaign(yes Renzi had to resign because McCain would not remove him) is one of the many reasons why I do not and will not support McCain.
May 30, 2008 at 1:50 am #618729
beachdrivegirlParticipantAlso womens rights goes further then the bill he just vetoed it goes on to pro-choice etc. Furthermore, why dont you trust Democrats? Why do you trust the Republicans so much? do you not see where Bush, representing the Republicans have got us???? As I said before I supported Bush in the past, but where we are today and how he has failed our country has made me run far far away from anyone who shares similar beliefs to him.
May 30, 2008 at 1:55 am #618730
AnonymousInactiveIs that why you haven’t called me for Happy Hour?
May 30, 2008 at 2:00 am #618731
beachdrivegirlParticipantConcentrating on the issues and McCains stance on the issues is important and I have looked @ them. For instance I think his position on education stinks. He believes that No Child Left Behind is a good idea. He obviously does not know anyone that is actually involved in educating the next generation of children or care about our countries well being in 20,30, 40 years out. He also is in support of NAFTA and thinks it is vital to our countries success. HA what a joke. Just another example of how distant he is from our citizens and voters. And again as I stated before about him being wishy washy on global warming he has been to wishy washy on his opinion in regards to taxes he opposes tax cut then supports them then opposes them. Choose a position and stand by it. Because when you change your position that much that means you are only doing what you want people to see you do not doing what you want and what is know is right.

beachdrivegirlParticipantAnd sorry I was typing as you wrote that and you are so right :) No sorry being in sales it is closing week this month so it is a very busy week. I can maybe get together next week if you are in town?? and you dont hate me by the from my posts…. :)
May 30, 2008 at 6:10 pm #618734
AnonymousInactiveOf course, I would never hate you from your posts!
We have differing opinions on politics, but that’s all. Contrary to what some might think, politics is not our lives. I think we would agree on that.
May 30, 2008 at 8:37 pm #618735
TrickParticipantUpdate:
McCain is quoted as saying “Mosul has some quiet days” as a bomber kills 20 people that day.
McCain now supports Bush’s tax cuts which he opposed earlier.
McCain says the surge is working,
Petraeus, said that “no one†in the U.S. and Iraqi governments “feels that there has been sufficient progress by any means”
He quotes the wrong troop levels in the Mideast.
McCain each week blunders names, groups, associations regarding the war in Iraq.
This is the candidate that says he has the most experience when it comes to war.
Is this really someone that we should rely on just because of his merits from being a veteran? or someone that seems to be a bit confused about present events he can’t seem to get straight?
It would be one thing if it’s a blunder, I can forgive that, but it seems to be a continuing stream week after week.
That I find disturbing.

AnonymousInactiveThe real McCain. Can’t wait ’til this gets turned in to a commercial.
Probably posted before and I missed it.
June 1, 2008 at 8:29 am #618737
JanSParticipantJT…that’s amazing…but not unexpected. I don’t see how any self-respecting Republican can vote for that man….will make a great commercial…

AnonymousInactivePlease, if you have a couple minutes, you should read this. It’s a short article.
Let’s compare to Obama’s record.
Anyone?
June 1, 2008 at 8:43 pm #618741
beachdrivegirlParticipantExperience is not everything. If it were, Hils would have defeated Obama in the primary season but she did not. I think there are to many current issues that voters are concerned with such as the war that McCain supports and has no plans to end, women’s right such as a woman’s right to choose, global warming etc. McCain has even lost more of my respect this week when not only is he linked to terrorist groups, cant seem to keep track of whom we are at war with, but also voted against a bill that would give veterans the financial ability to pay for college upon their return back from the war. I would have expected more from a Veteran but then again he has a wife who makes over $6 million a year so it makes since why he would not be in touch with the averages Americans or average Veteran’s financial situation.
June 1, 2008 at 9:22 pm #618742
AnonymousInactiveNR, I think quite a few people liked the McCain in that article, that’s why he was so popular in 2000, even among some Democrats. I don’t think that person exist anymore. He can’t seem to figure out what he stands for. Instead of staying the reasonable moderate he’s been most of his career, he’s decided to sleep with the far right. Then he forgets which McCain he’s being today and has to be reminded.
June 1, 2008 at 9:38 pm #618743
AnonymousInactiveHmmmm… instead of sharing any of Obama’s accomplishments, we jump to more bashing of McCain.
DOES Obama have a record of ANY accomplishments?
I thought for sure I would find that list here.
June 1, 2008 at 9:50 pm #618744
TrickParticipantHe does have a few accomplishments on his website.
I find praises on both sides of the aisle that he’s managed his campaign incredibly well and smart.
He’s young and not tainted yet by the baggage and questionable history the other candidates have. We’ll see at the voting booth if americans will choose his path of leadership over the same path we’re on now.
I think that’s why so many find him refreshing and polarizing.
It’s easy to know that he’s green on the political scene and ask about his long list of accomplishments, but the point being is that he’s vibrant, smart, optimistic and has a knack for being a natural leader. He doesn’t talk the DC game and scares the ba-jesus out of the PAC’s and lobbyists.
He’s got some of the smartest political savvy politicians out there supporting him. They all can’t be wrong.
June 1, 2008 at 9:57 pm #618745
AnonymousInactiveOk. So “a few” accomplishments on his website to compare to McCain’s accomplishments? Interesting.
The qualities you have listed for Obama are almost similar with the qualities in McCain:
smart, optimistic, and a natural leader.
The only one we couldn’t use would be vibrant, however, it can be replaced with experienced wisdom.
June 1, 2008 at 10:00 pm #618746
AnonymousInactiveThe list is just too long to re-write :) Someone else did it for me though. Not an ethanol fan myself, the first one on the list, but I liked this one:
-Barack Obama introduced the Patriot Employer Act of 2007 to provide a tax credit to companies that maintain or increase the number of full-time workers in America relative to those outside the US; maintain their corporate headquarters in America; pay decent wages; prepare workers for retirement; provide health insurance; and support employees who serve in the military.
