We recently observed a pair taking one or two roses from a neighbor and then they starting taking daisies from our yard as we left to go on a walk. It turned into a whole thing. I just expect people to ask. We put a lot of time and effort into our landscaping to enjoy it, not for it to be a cutting garden. Have others experienced this?

No, it’s not okay, as we taught our daughters when they were young.

Turn the hose on ’em! Actually probably don’t do that, but I agree with the other comment, it’s really not okay (unless it’s like a huge field of wildflowers and you just take one). But in your case, with the roses and then daisies? That’s just ridiculous.

I have figs, Italian prunes, apples and Japanese Persimmons on my front yard and people always steal them. I caught them on my cameras and post on my website.
The Asian ladies for the Jehovah Witness always come by and steal the Persimmons and I have videos on them
If anyone wants to see the video, let me know …
I plan to put a fence around my persimmon tree this Fall when they ripen.

    Here the videos:

Definitely not ok. Glad I’m home more these days to catch people picking the flowers in my yard and not picking up dog poop. Confrontation and some good public shaming goes a long way.
