I re-did my Parenting Plan last year, and my ex won’t honor it because he claims I did it wrong. I’m worried he may be right. I think I’m going to have to go back to court. But before I do that, I’d love to talk to a Family Law atty, show them the paperwork and get their insight & advice.

If anyone can recommend a lawyer for this, I’d be grateful. I also want to say that I did the paperwork myself because I don’t have much money; so please keep that in mind. :)

Deborah Bianco (Bellevue) is bright, hard-working (looked into details another lawyer was too lazy to check out), knows her worth but doesn’t talk down to you. Uses resources wisely: I actually got a refund from the retainer. Recommend her very highly.

A few ideas for resources you could look into…

You might want to talk to these people: http://www.proseuniversity.com/

These folks may be able to give you some help: http://www.kcba.org/pbs/familylaw.aspx

Here is a page with links to different pro bono programs in the area:

    Hope this helps.

You should give Sharon Best a call since they do this stuff every day. It isn’t as much as you might think. 937-5500

I second Deb Bianco. She’s a fantastic attorney and also serves as a family court judge, so she truly knows what will fly and what won’t.

You should also check out Franni Turean.

    1. She’s a really nice, smart lady.

    2. She lives in West Seattle, but is located downtown.

    3. She will meet with you to just go over the parenting plan and can “coach” you on how to correct it yourself so you can save some money on attorney’s fees!

    4. She’s a 10 on AVVO and has awesome client reviews:

Third for Debbie Bianco. Attorney and Pro Tem judge. Call her at 425-747-4500 and talk to Lessley, her assistant, to get your papers reviewed. HIGHLY recommended.
