I have a number of pairs of old prescription eyeglasses; frames with lenses, that are no longer of any use. I know there used to be places where one could donate these and they would be distributed to folks in need. Does anyone have the name of an organization or a phone number for someone who provides this service? I know the goodwill would probably take them, but I think there was a group that actually made them available to folks who didn’t have insurance or couldn’t afford Rx glasses. Thanks.

You can donate your used eye glasses at Northwest Lions, here is the web link:

Also, Lens Crafters has a donation box for used glasses.

Thanks for the good info, luckymom. Will check these out and try and get the glasses into the hands (or onto the faces) of someone who can use them.
