kwilliamsMemberWe have 2 dogs, and often take them to Roscoe’s Ranch for boarding. They are great, and the dogs are well-taken care of, but we were looking for something closer to us in West Seattle. We like that our dogs can run around outside, and play with other dogs, and that they also have comfortable sleeping quarters at night too.
Any suggestions?

Not in West Seattle but they pick up and deliver to WS, so it’s no hassle. SFHD meets all of your criteria, and they originally started in West Seattle with a dog walking business which is why they still come to WS.

kwilliamsMemberThanks, JimmyG. I’ll check SHFD out, and they do meet our criteria. I’d still be interested in at least one other alternative and/or recommendation for those times when SHFD is booked. The places we’ve gone locally in a pinch -due to our standard kennel being full- were not so successful.

pamMemberWe used Petsmart at Southcenter, it’s not the closest but their ‘hotel’ services were great. Our dog had never been left before and he was 12 years old (he’d stay at home and neighbors or friends would come over when we were on vacation). He loved it, he ate, he slept and he played though he generally wasn’t around other dogs when at home.

ws4everMemberMy two dogs love Darlene’s Doghouse (102nd & 3rd Ave S). During hot weather they enjoy the air-conditioned area inside the house. Very caring owner and staff.
