I’m neither a Husky or Coug but thought it might be fun to post a joke or two (no name calling) related to the rivalry between UW and WSU. I’ll start.

    :

Q: What’s the difference between a Husky and a Cougar?

A: The Husky got accepted to the U Dub.

    Hey now!

    1) I was accepted to both schools (mid-80’s) and chose WSU. I am not the only one.

    2) Three Huskies work for me(two Cougs, a Cornell and a Penn State grad too!).

And always be wary of “Jack-Huskies” too!

Those supporting the University of Washington Huskies who exhibit obnoxious behavior, arrogance and smack talk but did not attend the school. Most of these fans didn’t go to college and claim UW as it’s geographically desirable. They may also leverage a family connection (i.e my brother went to UW, therefore I have the right to talk smack about the Cougs and act like an ass) to justify the poor, classless behavior. Ironically, it’s typically the Jack-Huskies who get the most defensive, trash talk the most about the Washington State University Cougars and respond with shouting of uneducated expletives.

Typical UW t-shirt fans in the Seattle area that just want to be a fan and keep their mouth shut is found to be less annoying and acceptable however once they start talking smack, acting arrogant and can’t specify any real connection to the school through actual, personal experience (i.e student, alumni, professor), they are categorized as a Jack-Husky

I am not from Seattle, I’m a transplant form the east coast. Arrived here in January ’75. I don’t dislike the Cougs. But I support the Huskies because they’re the local team. I don’t have any jokes, sorry. The joke’s on me?

I just wanted to see some friendly rivalry (the “libtards” vs. “Teapublican” thing can get old). I hadn’t intended this thread to lean to one side of the mountains or the other and certainly didn’t expect a joke-by-joke counter-attack. It is funny, though, that what prompted me to start this thread was a Smitty post regarding Seahawk tickets. Still waiting for a “would you like fries with that?” post. Frankly I could possibly be categorized as a Jack Huscoug. I’ll root for either team in the Rose Bowl.

no kidding….if the Huskies can’t get in there, we always hope for the Cougs (next, of course)….does that make us fickle?

If you are bored tonight (and don’t want to watch your hero Mitt :~) then tune into ESPN for a nationally televised game between the Cougars of WSU and the Cougars of BYU from Provo Utah (kind of Mitt related).

High powered offense (WSU) vs a high powered, senior laden defense (BYU). Something has got to give as Mike Leach’s “Air-Raid” invades the Wasatch.

Personally, I think WSU looks good, but comes up a little short. Should be exciting though.

Whats the difference between a dollar bill and The Cougars?

You can get four quarters out of a dollar bill.

Not since 1971 have the Cougars been held without a touchdown in a season opener. They settled for two field goals. That’s a good one. . . . .

Ouch. Now THAT one hurts because it is true!

Devastated at last nights performance. If BYU runs the table and ends up National Champs then maybe that will soften the blow………….maybe.

Good luck to the Dawgs tomorrow night!

I really wish the Cougs would have done better. It gets old having crappy teams that never do anything. . . . Hawks did ok (even though pre-season doesn’t count).

I think Hawks will be pretty darn good. They won’t unseat SFO, but might be a wildcard.

Dawgs – my NEMESIS – look to have a tough start (due to scheduling) but will finish strong (if Price stays healthy).

I really, really, really am scared that my Cougs will have a tough game next week against Eastern! If they lose to Eastern, all four wheels are officially off!

Regardless, I fricken LOVE College football. Best. Game. On . Earth!

    The simple truth:

Q: Why do the WSU Cougs keep coug’n it?

A: Because they are the WSU cougs.
