wsgalMemberLooking for an affordable, private business meeting room for four participants, lasting three days in mid-October. Could be a spare conference room of an existing company, or a public rental. Our needs: white board, Internet access, table, four chairs, privacy. No catering required.
We’re a tiny company so budget is an issue, which is why hotels aren’t working for us. Grateful for any suggestions in West Seattle or Downtown Seattle. Thank you!

WSBKeymasterYou might try calling The Sanctuary at Admiral. When I interviewed them during their landmark proceedings, I got to tour some space they have upstairs, often used for members of a wedding party to relax and/or get ready – very comfortable-looking. I don’t recall whether they considered renting that out separately but most of their events are on the weekends so if this is a weekday meeting, who knows. And they mentioned they have wireless.
The Hall at Fauntleroy also has rooms of different sizes but I’m not sure about Internet access – I’ve used my aircard every time I’ve gone there for meetings or events.

wsgalMemberThese are beautiful venues. Thank you for taking the time to share them … and so quickly.
Everyone — still open to your suggestions about places for our budget-conscious little meeting. Thanks!

addParticipantwsgal, can I assume you want to stay in West Seattle? I am often looking for places for meetings, will think about it some more and get back to you…

datamuseParticipantHow about one of the libraries? West Seattle, Southwest, and High Point all have meeting rooms.
Youngstown has meeting spaces too, and some of them have whiteboards.
Wireless available in both facilities if memory serves.

sunshineParticipantI’ll rent you my dining room from 8 to 5 on weekdays, throw in the use of the kitchen for free. Heck you could even bring your dogs and let them play in the back yard with mine.
Got wi-fi and a whiteboard.

celeste17ParticipantWhat about Ginomi (?sp) at 42nd and Genesee? Or the churches sometimes rent out spaces.

SueParticipantI was going to suggest the library meeting rooms also (Highpoint has a really nice one), but I think any meeting held at the library needs to be open to the public. I used to run a Meetup group out of Highpoint’s meeting room, and I seem to recall that caveat.
Edit: Just found this on the library website about meeting rooms:
“Branch meeting rooms are reserved for non-commercial use only . . . All meetings must be open to anyone wishing to attend.”
So yeah, not a good place for a private business meeting.

wsgalMemberThanks to you all for your suggestions and advice. And thanks especially, Sunshine, for your offer of hospitality!
Datamuse and Sue, you’re right, library rooms need to be open to the public except (it turns out) at the downtown main branch, so that’s looks like our solution.
Thanks, everyone! Have a great week.

addParticipantEndolyne Joe’s has a small backroom (with a door) that you could probably rent. I don’t know about wi-fi?
If you are still looking let me know, I may be able to work something out for you. Contact me at add726@gmail.com
