Christmas tree prices at Tony’s

Wondering if anyone else was surprised by the prices at Tony’s this year. We stopped by this afternoon to pick up a 7-8 foot tree. After showing us the back of the tree, they looked us over and said that the tree would be $170. After confirming the price we said no thanks, and went to the Nursery where we found a similar size, but nicer tree for $84 after tax.

Are they just making up prices on the fly and expecting people to haggle?

So weird.

We purchased a tree at Tony’s last year. The price seemed high at the time. We went to WS Nursery this year and bought a very nice tree for what I consider a reasonable price. Won’t be going back to Tony’s again.
