I am looking for pre-K for my daughter next year for 2 days/week. Very few WS programs allow for this few days. I’ve found that Bloom Preschool in the Admiral Junction does. Does anyone have a child currently at Bloom who could share their experiences? My understanding is that this year (2018-19) is the current owner/lead teacher’s first year, so none of the reviews available on Yelp or WSB are relevant. Thanks so much!

Hi! My son has attended Bloom preschool since November (we switched from another preschool) and we are thrilled with the small class size, the activities planned, and the social emotional teaching. It’s truly a great group of kids and teachers. We will be there until Kindergarten starts and am planning on sending my younger child when he’s eligible. I highly recommend it and suggest taking a tour.

Hi! I have a 3 year old currently at bloom. And my two year old will be starting in the fall. We absolutely love everything about it. Teacher Stacy keeps the kids busy. They take walks, do yoga, arts and crafts and so much more. The older bloomers do more in terms of prepping for kindergarten. My daughter comes home with projects from learning her alphabet. They had caterpillars a couple weeks ago and she came home telling me that it was a chrysalis. We love that it’s a smaller class. The teachers really have time to work with the students. I highly recommend bloom!

Hello! I personally can’t say enough great things about Bloom. I have two kids and am bummed that we only got to experience Teacher Stacy for one year (my youngest starts Kindergarten this fall). My son is very content to be at our house playing, but loves going to preschool each day! Some of my favorite things are the notebooks that Stacy keeps on each kid to jot down observations and funny things they say at school, the amazing art projects they do, the constant change of table activities for the kids, the fun yoga poses (that my son leads us in at home), and the small class sizes. As you noted she is flexible on days and I personally liked that my son had a chance to be a leader, when he attended on a day that is primarily younger kids.

Adding onto the Bloom love fest, our 3 year old has been going since the fall and our second will be attending in next fall. Teacher Stacy and Holly are amazing at what they do and we love the small class sizes. My daughter is so excited when she heads into Bloom 3 days a week and comes home with a new story every day. As a working mom, I dont get to be there for pick up and drop off so the notebook is something i cherish and very much appreciate as it gives me insight into how they interact and behave at preschool. Highly recommend.

My son absolutely loves Bloom Preschool and Ms.Stacy (and Ms. Holly too). This is his third year at Bloom and his first year with Ms.Stacy. From the moment he and I were introduced to Teacher Stacy last Spring, we knew she was going to be a great fit for our small neighborhood preschool. Even though she was new to Bloom, she was in no way new to teaching preschoolers. Quite the opposite in fact! She has a wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to Preschool education and it shows the moment you step foot in the preschool. She comes up with the most fun ways to engage the students in all sorts of learning. Proof: My five year old came home asking me if I knew what “metamorphosis” was the other day!
Some of my son’s favorite parts of Bloom are the sensory table experiences (play doh, slime, water), the various art projects, writing in his journal, yoga, and class walks to Hiawatha to play on the playground. My Mama heart is so happy to be at a school that my son loves, with a teacher that he loves and knowing that he has been well prepared for Kindergarten.
I highly recommend Bloom Preschool; it is a gem of a West Seattle Preschool. I also recommend touring Bloom and meeting Ms.Stacy (check out http://www.westseattlebloompreschool) for more info).
