My husband’s in the market for a new barber in the neighborhood, his most recent just retired. He prefers old-school style barber shops, something between no-frills chains and fancier salons. Great beard trimming a bonus. Many thanks for any recommendations.

Was your husband using John next to West Seattle License? John was great, but then I too had to find a new barber.

    .

Now I walked across the street and am using Rick, the psychic barber. He does a great job, and he is NOT a psychic.

    .

Rick simply acquired the sign when the shop next door left the sign behind when they moved out.

    .

Rick is located on California, just a few hundred feet south of West Seattle License, and on the west side of the street.

Yep, same shop it sounds like. Thanks for the recommendation of a new spot for him to try, we’ve noticed that intriguing sign. Good to know the story behind it.

Admiral Barber Shop at the California-Admiral intersection – he’s been cutting my hair now for three years, ever since we moved back to WS.
