I’m considering working at Microsoft, but honestly, the commute is the main sticking point. How’s the new Connector shuttle? How long’s the trip taking these days?

My friend is over the moon about it; she’s riding frequently. I don’t know how long the commute is but I’m sure you’ll get some other responses.

The Connector is not something that you can just hop on. There is a huge waiting list for the West Seattle route.

I’m taking it. I love it. I used to ride the bus which took 1 hour 10 minutes in the morning door to door, about an hour and a half to get home. (Long, yes, but it’s a free bus pass and I’d rather save the $300 a month in gas than deal with the stress of driving in traffic.) The Connector takes about 45-50 minutes or so each way, depending on traffic. But j’s right. You have to reserve your space and a recurring reservation is hard to get right now. One off reservations are not too difficult, there’s usually a few spaces.

Sounds as if Microsoft needs to add another van to the route. I have seen the buses and think its a great service they offer.
