    Hi everyone,

Nickelsville could use any five gallon buckets that you might be able to spare, so we can fill them with water, and post them at various places throughout the Camp, for fire prevention over the holiday.

We could also use some fully charged, working fire extinguishers.

Please note that we will not be setting off fireworks down here at the Camp. We are just concerned, as any neighborhood is, about the carelessness of others.

Thanks, and have a safe and happy Independence Day!

I don’t have any, but I have had good luck in the past procuring them from Teriyaki places who get their soy sauce delivered in them.

Mike, I don’t have any five-gallon buckets, but we do have some empty 20-lb cat litter containers. They probably hold about 2-3 gallons of water, but they have a fairly narrow opening, so I don’t know how much good they’d do for fire suppression. But you’re welcome to them. Let me know if you’d like them and I can drop them off – we’ve probably got 10 or 15 of them. Otherwise we can just recycle them.

Another idea/request, small pails of sand.

I know the corner – any trick to getting in or shall I just park in the lot and it will be easy to find? And any particular time, or is there always somebody there to drop them off with?

If you know how to get into our little parking lot, the Camp is just over the berm.

Security is under the blue tarp on the right, and there’s always extra bodies to help haul stuff in.

    Thanks!

When I was a florist, I would go around to restaurants, deli and such or grocery stores for 5 gal buckets. Some would smell like pickles, but they did the trick.
