Well Meg, glad you will never be treasury secretary. To say that we have been “sucking on the tit” of stimulus over the last 5 years is an outright falsehood, especially since the limited stimulus we did have (TARP) was widely regarded as too small and is now viewed as a huge success. The one thing I agree with Hoop on, may that screen name apparently rest in peace, is that we need way MORE stimulus for infrastructure, education and roads and bridges. If spent right, these things give back tenfold (ESP when money is so cheap) because they spur greater investment and growth in our people and hence our businesses and society.
If collapse is inevitable we should all be preparing for WW3 because that is what will happen with a de stabilized American system and economy.
