West Seattle Christmas lights, 11/28/08

We’re featuring another home from the inland side of the south end of Beach Drive, where we found our last featured display – because we’re just not seeing many light-draped homes around West Seattle, yet. (What is it about Beach Drive, anyway? Perhaps inspired by the Menashe family – whose legendary display isn’t done yet, but the cherry-picker’s parked across the street …) When you do see — or create — someplace particularly bright and festive, let us know — meantime we’ll be wandering around, watchfully.

This was one of my favorite homes to photo last year at BDB–I think it was snowing out too so it just looked so fresh, bright and pretty. I’m waiting until December 1 (which isn’t too far away) to feature Beach Drive area homes for Christmas.

Is there a map of these mega-displays on WSB anywhere?

Max – We made a map last year and will start a map this weekend as soon as we find one or two more. For reference’s sake — I have already looked at some of these addresses and they weren’t up as of last night — the 2007 map is still in Google Maps at:

(Click the map markers and you’ll see the photo as well as address info)
We’ll continue to check on those addresses as well as on new ones we get – TR
