Meteorite sighting?

Just in from Jim:

Just saw a big flash over West Seattle about 8:00 from my viewpoint here in Shorewood. Of Course someone in West Seattle might have seen a big flash over the Olympics for all I know. One of the brightest I’ve seen in years.

This reminds us of a meteor clip posted on Slog today – going to go look for that. There is an annual meteor shower in the middle of November … researching that too. 8:34 PM ADDITION: The meteor shower was “Leonids,” which peaked Monday. This is the Edmonton dashcam video of a meteor sometime Thursday (as featured on Slog earlier):

Wierd! A week and a half ago I was walking my dog through High Point and saw something flash across the sky with a very visible tail and it fizzled off. I was thinking for sure it was space junk. And for sure it landed somewhere near the High Point community.

Saw a huge flash, about 6:01 PM Nov 23rd while watching the Space Station track over us in Salem. Flash was very bright, about 45 degrees in sky, due South. I thought it was a meteor coming right at us, because no trail .. flash grew to about 1/4 diameter of moon… since it was South to North trajectory, and not in the ecliptic, I thought it was odd. Then you saw another sighting at 8? Kinda weird to have tow flashes on the “hor”

Sorry, comment time is over.
