Good reason to leave work early next Friday: WSHS rally

As noted in comments on last night’s report about the West Seattle High School Wildcats‘ sixth-straight football win (photo left), their next game is Homecoming. This afternoon, we received an invitation to share with you, to come celebrate not just Homecoming, but also the great season WSHS is having so far: 4:30-5:30 pm Friday at the WSHS Commons, a good old-fashioned pep rally, free, community invited, hot dogs and hamburgers. See you there! (The actual game is 7 pm, SW Athletic Complex, vs. Rainier Beach.)

This will be a blast! To all you alums out there, come join me in the fun! They also want alum athletes to participate on the field during halftime of the football game that night (I believe to make a tunnel for the players). Now how cool is that???? I don’t remember WSHS doing this at all. What a great idea!

That darn football team only won one game in three years during my time at WSHS. Now look at them-how exciting!!!!!!

I’ll be there, what a great idea. God knows where my lettermans jacket has ended up after thirty odd years. Go Indian’s (oops, I meant Wildcats)

Hey Zero, I found my letterman’s jacket without the letter (guess it wasn’t cool to keep the letter on after high school). I’ll be wearing mine like a dork! And yes, GO INDIANS!
