Hello! I am completely lost on how to find a good kick boxing class for beginners but its something I’ve always wanted to try out. Trying to get back into shape and want to try something new and fun that hopefully won’t embarrass me too much for being so out of shape…. Any ideas?

I work out at Seattle Integrated Martial Arts and I love it! http://www.simamartialarts.com They don’t have classes specifically for beginners, but everyone is really great and help out newcomers.

If you are interested in learning a martial art and getting in shape, you might consider the West Seattle Tae Kwon Do Club at the High Point Community Center in West Seattle. You can learn kicks, punches, blocks, forms, and sparring techniques in a supportive, non-competitive atmosphere that is focused on self-improvement.

Our classes cost only $35/month and meet Mondays & Thursdays 6:30-8:00pm and Saturdays 10am-12pm. Beginners are definitely welcome and preferred; new students can join at any time! Check out our website at http://westseattle.choitkd.org/, email westseattletkd@gmail.com for questions, or call (206) 684-7422 for registration information. Feel free to stop by to watch a class!
