Our little guy (15 months) may be in the market for some ear tubes in the coming months.

He’s had 4 big ear infections – and we are quite concerned about his speech and hearing in general. He is recovering from ear infection #4, and seems better. But the fluid in his ears just never drains away completely between ear infection flare-ups.

Can you share your recommendations? Obviously our pediatrician will have his own recs, but I wanted to hear from parents of young kids that have gone through this recently.

    Thank you!

Dr Seth Schwartz at Virginia Mason was wonderful. Our son had fluid build up in his ears which temporarily affected his hearing. So, he had ear tubes/adenoid surgery and our daughter had her tonsils removed by Dr Schwartz and we highly recommend him!! He was fabulous with the kids and talked with us thoroughly about the procedures. Also VM, though not a pediatric hospital was a great experience for us as parents and our kids as patients. Both times, a parent was allowed to stay with our child until they were completely asleep (before the procedures) and we were there for the entire recovery. Good luck and I hope your little guy is feeling better soon!
