    I have 2 RANTS…
1st – Why is it that people turn into raving lunitics when its a holiday and when they’re behind the wheel of a car? Driving home today from work there was a lady behind me and she was so close to me that all I could see was her rearview mirror but anyways she went to pass me on the right and once she did a box truck that was in front of me changed lanes at the same time as she did so she got back behind me (still too close) and stayed behind for about 2 blocks I then got to the street I was making a left turn on and she swerved around me into the right lane again and blared her horn at me! Its not like she could go anywhere any quicker there was me and the box truck both doing the speed limit.??? Then again another driver behind me when I was making a right turn from the light and I had to wait for oncoming traffic before making the turn and that person honked at me again??? Really I wasn’t doing anything wrong…come on people those cranberries you forgot they’re still going to be at the grocery store when you get there!Slow down, take it easy it’ll be OK!
2nd rant… people will probably get on me about this but OH WELL… at a red light I was one car behind the 1st car and a car to my right pulled up to make his/her free right and went into the crosswalk a little, made their stop and a bicyclist almost was hit by him or should I say he almost hit the car…now I know we are to watch out for bicyclists and share the road which I do but he was on his bike (riding) in the crosswalk going with traffic but then made a right which is against the flow of traffic that he just came from, isn’t that wrong? Bicyclists want rights to the road but shouldn’t they abide by the laws of the road like all vehicles are supposed to too?
OK done ranting…gotta make the stuffing or is it dressing!?
    Happy Holidays to all.

I don’t think the holiday has much to do with it. Today the lineup at the 35th & holden light was over 3 blocks long. The ridiculous “road diet” has created an instant “road rage” atmosphere.

road rage atmosphere? Everyone needs to step back, take a deep breathe, breathe and calm down. We’re supposed to be adults(it’s not a new thing, so deal), it’s only a few blocks, and be safe. It’s not the end of the world. Good grief!

Be thankful you have a car, a road, and a place to call home when you get there. Happy Thanksgiving !

Sounds like in the first instance you were doing what a lot of people do, which is go under the speed limit because your turning soon. Then you prob took your time getting into the turn lane instead of getting right in and letting the ‘impatient’ driver go around. There are always two sides. Why couldn’t you speed up a little or do her a favor and get behind the box truck to let her by? She might have been out of line but doesn’t sound like you did anything to help when you could have.

HOLIDAY RANT here again….after posting and re-reading what I wrote I noticed I typed in the wrong lane that I was in…I was in the right lane not left so to TWISTEDINDUS I did not take my time getting over to make my right hand turn. MY BAD for mis-typing.
And as for going under the speed limit I am far from one of those drivers but after getting 3 speeding tickets on 4th Ave (Costco area)in a 5 year period I have learned to do the speed limit on that roadway! So again MY BAD for mis-typing which lane I was in but NO, I think that I didn’t do anything wrong and that, that driver was just in too much of a hurry to get anywhere fast. I say “better to be safe than sorry”
    Happy Holiday!
