WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Recognize this loot recovered by police?

If you’ve been car-prowled lately …take a look at this photo:

20161212_215424

It’s from Southwest Precinct Officer DeBella, who explains:

SPD Southwest Anti-Crime Team and Patrol Officers broke up a car-prowl crew. We believe them to be prolific car prowlers with ties around the city and into King County. We have some distinctive property which was recovered but do not know who the owners are. If anyone recognizes their property in the photograph, please e-mail Officer DeBella at spd6844@seattle.gov.

At least one person is in custody in connection with this, we’re told.

P.S. We will have another Crime Watch update later with today’s reader reports.

Nows the time for the SPD to use some of those videos people have posted on here to see if this one person in custody is responsible for the car prowls.

We are very familiar with the local thieves and always check the blog for those type of videos and photos.

It is important to report all the car prowls and “little stuff” so we when we catch them doing something else and find the property on them we can reunite folks with their property and combine cases on the criminals.  If we don’t have all the reports because folks believe it is not worth the effort then the criminals win.

SPD6844…I didn’t mean that you “SPD” weren’t looking at the videos it’s just from a previous other post that I was wondering on how well the security cameras home owners have work in catching these prowlers…not meaning you all don’t do a good job, because I have the upmost respect for the Police Department!

Maybe you can give us some enlightenment on how these cameras do,do on catching the “crooks”???

We love pictures and video.  Juries love them too.

It would probably be violating some city ethics rule (s) if I started naming companies/specific products.  Generally speaking you get what you pay for….and online reviews are pretty accurate on the whole.

Thank you for the replies!  We still have a few items that the owners have not been identified.

WSB rocks for assisting spd and is a great community partner.
