UPDATE: 2 taken to hospital after crash at 35th/Juneau

4:47 PM: A crash at 35th and Juneau is reported to be blocking the northbound side of the road. No word yet on injuries; police and fire are arriving. We’re en route to check.

(Added: WSB photo)
5:19 PM: Two people have been taken to the hospital, neither with serious injuries. Another person is being cut out of his car because the door won’t open, but we are told he’s OK. 35th is open both ways but Juneau is blocked at 35th on the east side.

It’s pretty bad. Three cars. One person in a stretcher going to the ambulance. One person still stuck in their car and they are using some type of saw or wrench to get him out. How do I upload or send a photo?

Thanks, we’ve already been there but can’t add pix until back at hq and have diverted to another incident.

So very sorry for those involved.
Yet another bad accident at one of West Seattle’s worst intersections.

No road diet needed! Increase the speed to 45! Heck, just put up some concrete barriers down the length and 35th and turn it into a freeway!

Ugh. I hate this intersection and try to avoid it at all costs, even though it is often the quickest route for me. I find it is safer to go a block south by the library where there is a traffic light. Hope everyone recovers quickly!

Need a light there, of course these accidents happen! Traffic is heavy and there’s no way safely drive through without a light.

my brother lives between Juneau and Findlay on 35th and it is beyond me why people don’t go a block out of their way to go out on 35th at the light on Findlay. Much better outcomes! There seem to have been a ton of accidents at Juneau.

I live right by here as well and always either go a block out of the way to the traffic light, which is still pretty dangerous, or around Delridge and up the back way. Much safer.

So many accidents there. And I’d like to add that people use Juneau as a short cut to Delridge from 35th. There’s pets and kids that live on that street, yet people find the need to drive like a holes and go up to 60mph. Be considerate and slow down!

Sorry, comment time is over.
