West Seattle biznote: ‘Tax-Free Day’ of Junction shopping April 19

Two weeks until the tax deadline .. but there’s something to look forward to once it’s past: The West Seattle Junction Association is presenting a “Tax-Free Day” of shopping and dining for the sixth year in a row. On Saturday, April 19th, watch for the red balloons marking participating retailers and restaurants in The Junction – they’ve got your back by paying your (sales) tax! See the in-progress list of participants and more details on The Junction’s website. (Balloon courtesy DesignerClipart.com)

This is a wonderful thing the merchants do for us patrons. IF we all pay cash that day when making our purchases it will be a win win for all! Thanks West Seattle Retailers we appreciate you!

YES! Paying with cash is a GREAT idea! The small businesses are scratching your back, scratch theirs by using cash and saving them a few coins on transaction fees. I love that Than Bros. has put up a sign saying they prefer cash and why. People need to realize that Banks and CC companies clip these businesses on EVERY transaction, not just with a flat fee a month.

Sorry, comment time is over.
