I’m wondering if there are any events next weekend for people who don’t want to watch the Super Bowl…?

I haven’t heard of anything SPECIFICALLY geared as game alternatives – anything we hear of that’s scheduled is on our calendar – https://westseattleblog.com/events – Sundays are usually pretty quiet this time of year! You’ve probably heard that on a larger scale, some local events even have been canceled for fear of zero turnout (the boat show is apparently shutting down a day early, etc.) … If we find anything, we’ll add it to the calendar. – Tracy

Why does there need to be a special event? Just, um, don’t watch it? Or do one of the million other things that occur each Sunday and, again, don’t watch it.

might be the perfect day to take care of that trip to Costco if you’re not a football fan. I would imagine most of Seattle will be glued to a teevee. Costco might be a ghost town! ;)

I will be watching the Puppy Bowl.

@Michelle – there was an article in the Seattle Times about people who don’t like football and they listed a few things going on next Sunday.

My ex-BF hated American football and he’d usually take the opportunity to pick up things at Home Depot, and as previously mentioned, Costco, i.e. any place that is usually overrun with people on Sunday afternoon.

Enjoy the silence, and for the rest of us, GO HAWKS!

You could always do laundry and clean the toilet.
