The old fashioned way of doing this is to install a manual kill switch. Not that hard to DIY and worth the peace of mind even if you have to pay a shop to do it.

Is it just me, or are vehicle thefts occurring significantly more frequently in the last 6-12 months than in the past in recent years past? It seems like there’s at least one nearly every day…?

News reports agree car thefts are up city wide, it just seems like it’s gone bananas here in the last few months.

Seems like car thieves are catching up to the modern times stealing Kia cars and such it’s obvious that the thief stole it to travel to do more crimes and or joy ride.. Sorry for your loss but the influx of car theft and prowler reports does seem higher .. And yes cars should have more theft security features especially in 2023 and beyond. And stiffer penalties for grand theft their is too much potential for the same criminals to commit more crimes while in a stolen car and or perhaps endanger lives recklessly.
