BIZNOTE: Boss Drive-In celebrating 9th anniversary Wednesday with gifts for you
It’s been a big year for Boss Drive-In in South Delridge – and Wednesday they’re offering you freebies to celebrate.
Eikam Singh is managing the restaurant while home from college for the summer. His family bought it a year and a half ago. They also own the nearby South Delridge 7-11 and the one at 35th/Barton, but Boss is their first restaurant.
The biggest recent change: They’re now open 24 hours a day. Singh says they’re usually busy until 3 or 4 am, and then the staff focuses on getting ready for the next day. They’re still working on their breakfast menu, he says – it’s not quite perfected yet. They’ve installed one self-checkout line and are planning another.
They’re also working with delivery services now, and Singh says that has revealed they have fans beyond the immediate neighborhood – the average order, he says, travels 8 to 10 miles, and they’ve had some customers from as far away as Tacoma.
Boss also has been beefing up community sponsorships, like backing a West Seattle Baseball team, and are looking to do more of that, Singh says. They’re aware that the burger biz is about to get another local entrant, with Five Guys moving into Westwood Village a short distance west; they’re serving a different market, pricing-wise among other things, Singh believes. And right now, it’s time for Boss Drive-In to celebrate: Free fries and ice cream on Wednesday (June 7th): “We wanted to do something big.”

Happy anniversary. I didn’t know there was a change in ownership. Didn’t notice a difference from before. The blackbean burger is my jam. Always friendly service even when busy. I have 2 punch cards. Excited to try the breakfast menu.
This place is great! I’m not an avid burger joint person. One blistering hot day I came here to get a double chocolate milkshake. It was delicious. So on my next visit I got a Dub cheeseburger or something like that. Again delicious. I haven’t tried their fries.
Their fries are excellent. Crinkle cut and a special spice. So yummy.
What happened to the swirl soft serve ice cream chocolate and vanilla??? It has been a favorite for myself and family and it’s super disappointing to only have vanilla available. The menu still shows it in several places and no notice that it’s not available.Either update your menu or bring back the swirl!
Hey Galdyis,Sorry our motor for the chocolate portion of our ice cream machine has gone out and it’s not replaceable at this stage.We have ordered a brand new machine that has been getting delayed. Hopefully it should be here by the end of the month. We miss serving it too!
I certainly didn’t appreciate the undisclosed and vague 10% “surcharge” on my bill. Sorry guys, I now get my burgers and shakes elsewhere.

Mr. Singh, You have nothing to worry about with the other burger place going in a few blocks away…we stopped by the one by South Center and turned around and walked out…$40.00 is just way too much$$$ for 2 people to pay for a fast food lunch, plus the place was filthy!Your burgers and fries are much more delicious and priced very well for the average person to spend.Congrats on you anniversary and enjoy your time off from College!🍔🍟
Congrats on the anniversary! My opinion…West Seattle has the two best burgers around. Burger Boss for fast food style and Jak’s for steakhouse style. Looking forward to visiting both soon!

Love Boss burgers! We started going here a few years back and then found out they sponsor westsea baseball so started going more after games. Honestly the best chocolate milkshake I have ever tried! The butterscotch is great too. Love their fries and the burgers always taste great, not like some pre frozen squares like other joints. I like an occasional dicks burger or red mill but the quality of meat is not as good as boss imo. Super single and the cowboy with no mayo are my faves. Staff is always friendly too. I have seen people berate the staff for things like cold fries and the staff fixed up new ones for them and was nice about it even though the customer wasn’t. Fries have always been hot to me. 🤣❤️We tried the breakfast menu once and the burrito was pretty good! Bacon wasn’t mushy and flavor was good. Will be back when we are out and need some brekkie. The new owners transitioned seamlessly imo, as I didn’t even notice anything change.
