      What did “West Seattle” do?

I don’t think Rick is BLAMING west seattle residents in any way….But is rather stating that business out here, for entirely natural, unintentional reasons, struggle to thrive. …and even if they are, what a weird thing to get defensive about.

Sad. I loved Wanna Burger! If you like the charbroiled style, Habit is a good option.

NOOOOOOO!!! They had an incredible chicken katsu burger. Our neighborhood will be missing a great restaurant option. Sadly another business gone from our neighborhood. I hope someone eventually takes that spot over. WSB, have you heard what their reason was for closing their doors by chance???

That’s why I was hoping to reach them but so far multiple phone numbers and email haven’t worked; we also went by again earlier today (on the way to the ramp hole) to see if anyone was there perhaps moving stuff out or ,.. but no.

Any recent updates on the expected opening of the Mexican restaurant that’s expected to take over the prior pizza place that was on California Ave SW in Admiral neighborhood? Thanks

They had wonderful teriyaki.  Burgers were just soso. Would be great to see Zippys move back into the space.

What a devastating loss!!! I hope all is well with the proprietors. I always enjoyed their product and felt valued as a costumer. They will be missed sorely!

The building is for sale , wonder if that has anything to do with the closure?

Sorry to see them go. The teriyaki was really good. Hope the owners fill the place with another restaurant. Not many options around there.

That was our pandemic hot spot date night takeaway. Thanks for getting us through some rough years Wanna. The terryaki with fried rice was just phenomenal and the people behind the counter were always friendly.

Wanna Burger and Teriyaki arguably had some of the best teriyaki in the City period:(

I hope it’s just due to owners’ retirement wishes, expressed during the pandemic. Best of luck, and thanks for the countless yummy meals!

They were just ok. Not terrible, not great. Too bad. We are already in a bit of a food dessert on the east side of 9th Ave SW. sad to see another restaurant go.

A new sign in the door of Wanna Teriyaki says they are doing a remodel.  ECD a month and a half.  Looking forward to it if true!
