This is great news. We definitely need some sort of Urgent Care in West Seattle (a hospital or small clinic would be nice too). Not to mention more doctors offices with hours that are extended well beyond the usual rigamarole of 9am – 5pm (with a 2+ hour closed for lunch) kinda thing.

Really, who has that kind of schedule flexibility anymore? Not any *working* parents I know!

I really hope Cycle U stays in the Triangle, too. I love them, but I’ve always wondered why a bicycle shop needs so much parking.

This is great. I really like the doctors and staff at WS Family Medicine. The only limiting thing right now is their hours, but I’m glad they will be able to grow and expand, along with offering extended hours.

This is good news. I don’t think many people know that we already have an urgent care in West Seattle (at least Monday – Thurday, 6pm-9pm). Dr. Harrington is excellent!

This is great news, and hopefully will enable the fab Dr. Harrington to take some nights off!

Are they staying in their current location and also expanding or moving everything to the Cycle U space?

Expanding the services they offer this October. Moving as noted next October, with primary care on 1st floor, urgent care on 2nd floor.

On a Sunday my wife fell backwards and took a very hard and direct shot to the back of her head on a boulder when we were re-landscaping. Knowing the potential for serious consequences existed, I immediately put her in the car to seek medical attention. I thought the California Swedish clinic had urgent care but they did not. We went directly to a fire station, where a quick sidewalk eval with her still in the car verified we were OK to drive to our downtown medical center for treatment (Thanks SFD!). Glad to hear there will be a urgent care facility in central WS!

Great idea and excellent location. An adolescent/teen health care clinic would be a welcome Highline addition in WS too…sports physicals, injuries, reproductive health, asthma, etc. I love the Swedish clinic for pediatrics, but once your child outgrows them, there are few choices for teens except public school nurses (if they go to public school) or Planned Parenthood in White Center.

wonder where the wheelchair-accessible entrance will be … looks like at least 6 or 7 steps in the front.

Might be from the parking garage below? There’s an elevator in the lobby, but I parked on the street so I didn’t see the garage – TR

Unfortunatly Highline does not treat patients who have been in a motor vehicle accident or have been injured on the job even if that person is one of their own patients. I also tried to find a physician in West Seattle who would treat my mother who recently moved into the area from out of state. Highline does not take most of the Medicare plans. Thankfully Swedish West Seattle was more than happy to accept my mother into thier practice. Kudos to Swedish for taking care of our Seniors.

Janice, as noted in the story, the “on the job” situation is changing with the addition of Urgent Care. – TR
