This article would make more sense if you explained somewhere what “The Kenny” is. ???

Paragraph 3 explains it as the retirement center just north of Lincoln Park. However, I did fail to hotlink its name in the first line, which would have solved the problem in the usual way. Sorry about that; fixing.

The Kenney is really a special place, as are all the people who pour their hearts and souls into, not only keeping it afloat, but making it thrive. Anyone associated with the Kenney should be very proud of themselves.

    Also, what a great fund!

Thank you to Gretchen Bell and David Adams who were committee chairs of this important annual event. Their tireless efforts made it spectacular and brought it to a new level. A big thank you to Greg Nickels for his terrific address and of course Amy Lee Derenthal, The Kenney staff and all the volunteers who worked so hard to bring it all together. I am truly proud to be associated with such a fine group of people! Finally, our donors – words cannot express how greatful we are to have your support – thank you!

Thank you Dave! It was great to see so many people there supporting the Kenney. It is so important to remember all the great things that happen in our community and the people that are there making a difference. I appreciate all of you! Thanks for making our event a success! And I ask everyone to remember to give back, not only financially, but with your time to organizations that are important to you in West Seattle!
