I have lived in West Seattle lince 1965…ok some of those years I do not remember. I think I would have remembered a garbage dump at Spokane street. Don’t think my Grandmother would have moved over here if that was going on. I remember the steel plant before it had air cleaners, the old/low brigde and five and dimes on every corner, but no garbage dumps.

Karl…my ex father in law couldn’t stand Emmett Watson (yes, this story was told a lot at Thanksgiving dinners), and it seems that they somehow ended up at the same soiree once upon a time. My ex-FIL had a bit too much to drink, and threw up on Emmett..he was embarrassed and happy at the same time…lol
