All 56/57 buses are showing cancelled this morning. The California/Admiral stop is showing from 6:40 to 7:30 am all cancelled and I got a Metro Alert for the 9:something bus. PLus two 55s were cancelled.

And just now a MEtro Alert: “Routes 55, 56, 57, 114 and 214 service suspended today” Glad I’m working from home. This week was horrible for commuting by bus.

That really sucks for folks  who either can’t work remotely, HAVE to get to work (hospitals, etc.) or are otherwise dependent on Metro.   Not the best weather to be riding a bike, although I’m sure some would suggest it.

There was a crash northbound I-5 at Seneca. If able use, another route.  1 car it looks like.

I’m glad I no longer have to rely on Metro, cancelling all the 55, 56 & 57 service is incredulous!

FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS HOLY, TURN ON YOUR FREAKING HEADLIGHTS! I passed at least 5 this morning without their lights on, in heavy snow. What goes through your head thinking that’s acceptable?!

Too many people have gotten used to just setting their headlights on “auto”, (many/most newer cars have this feature), and then totally relying on it, without consciously ensuring that their lights actually are on. And don’t be fooled, your “daytime driving lights” may be on, but that’s just headlights, doesn’t activate your side and tail lights.

And Dow and the rest of his cronies wonder why nobody wants to take the BUS to work anymore? It is because of the lousy service and cancelations all the time.  You could not pay me to take a bus anymore in Seattle.

You’re fortunate not to be in a position where you have to commute downtown.  Parking is 20+ dollars a day.  That is not something I can afford. Thankfully, my company subsidizes my Orca pass, for now, that is.
