Just checked out the menu — looks great! Can’t wait to get a (true) Italian restaurant in the Junction area.

This looks great – can’t wait for it to open. I think it will be a welcome and well-received addition to the neighborhood!

Hopefully the spaghetti vineyards have not all been converted to growing biodeisel, driving pasta prices through the roof!

Mmmm… and I hope they use salt in the bread instead of making TRUE Tuscan (please!). Great use for the Murphy’s space. Keep us posted!

Worth looking into, for sure…but so far, Beato is still WS’s best Italian rest.

OP…I’m sure Beato’s has good food…it’s beyond my budget. I think this will be a restaurant that does something a little different than Beato’s…so it won’t be competition, but an addition that sounds like it will fill a need that isn’t in West Seattle right now…we do love to eat here on the peninsula, don’t we? :)

Yay for Italian food!! Booo for the presumed $$$ price tag :( . While we’re talking italian is there a good “mom and pop” type Italian place. I’m not talking fancy smancy expensive Italian, more like americanized “can find one every corner in ny” type Italian. Napoli is my favorite, but they have a limited menu and don’t serve chicken parm.

MikeV — Angelinas seems like the mom and pop restaurant you’re looking for — they serve wine by the glass in water glasses, which is one of my tests.

I don’t know from NYC street corners, but it reminds me of the places I hung out in Boston’s North End street corners — except they don’t have black pasta. Admiral District, on California — down the street from the Admiral Theater.

second the vote on Angelina’s. it’s the best. Beato is a little trendy for my taste…

I know and love Angelina’s and really enjoy Beato’s too. I also know the people who are starting Cafe Revo–they are family, so I have tasted Sean’s dishes. All I can say is hold onto your “capello.” These are warm, big-hearted, welcoming people, and the Northern Italian food will be different from other middle or Southern Italian favorites, and just as tasty. We have room for three Italian restaurants in West Seattle, that’s for sure. Murphy’s will rise again as something garlicy and wonderful.

Cafe Revo will be a delightful restaurant! The menu has me hungry already! You can count on the Westenders Scooter Club being regulars there!

oops- I confused La Rustica with Beato…allow me to rephrase; La Rustica is too trendy for my taste…Beato is simply too expensive for my wallet! Hope Cafe Revo will be good, it’s w/in walking distance!

La Rustica trendy? I haven’t been there in a while but I would definitely not consider it trendy – seems more “old world” to me! Again – they may have changed things up since I was last there. I will have to check it out again!

We are so excited to have Cafe Revò opening in West Seattle. The menu has many of the northern foods that aren’t found in other Seattle restaurants. Can’t wait!
