I met Jim and Jamie when we worked for Edgar R Rombauer Atty.  He will be missed as a kind, wonderful partner.  I sent my love and support to Jamie in her time of loss.

So sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a phenomenal person. Not only did our families have long ties–his father went to school with my father and my father’s cousins–but  I am personally and literally indebted to him. I was the executer of a family friend’s estate. What should have been a routine estate matter following her death turned into a lawsuit when I discovered that her distant relative had cheated me out of my share of the inheritance. It was difficult at first to prove to Jim that I’d been wronged, but once he became convinced that I was, he led me through the difficult process to try and claim what I was due. I had to work with another attorney for the eventual lawsuit, but Jim remained supportive throughout, giving advice and guidance until a settlement was reached. He was in a difficult position, as he had to work with both parties to settle the rest of the estate, but I would never never have gotten anything if it were not for his willingness to hear me out. Thank you, Jim. I am forever grateful. R.I.P. My deepest condolences to his family.
