We live at 39th and Dakota and this guy is around our house all the time over the past year. We’ve named him “Ginger Boy”. We thought he was a stray, but his bad cuts from fights have clearly been treated.  He’s a nice, but wary cat that will let you pet him once he trusts you.  Occasionally we feed him, but he appears well fed. We have wondered where his home is.  If he is a stray he has enough houses like ours that seem to keep him fed and taken care of.   He has lots of scars on his head from past fights.    He’ll typically sleep on our back deck all day and then disappear in the evening to show up the next morning howling after our girl cat. He will go right in your house if you let him and I wonder if someone is letting him in their house. If the owner is out there it would be great to know where his home is!

That is Sherbie AKA. Jack. Now AKA ginger boy. West Seattle’s most misunderstood cat. He needs fixed and a forever home. He roams all over from alaska/fauntleroy to 35th and 47th. He is all over the place. Please give him a pet and he loves treats. Chicken and turkey are his favorites. He also loves nippers.

This cat spends a fair amount of time at my house as well. I am on 40th near Oregon.   I call him “Butters.”  He comes howling after my girl cat.   I finally started feeding him, but he only sticks around for one meal per day.   I am planning to trap and neuter him, although the trap part may not be necessary.  I recently got connected with a cat rescue expert, so I’m getting help and advice from her.   I don’t think he has a home, or why would be allowed to roam around intact?   IDK.  If he has parents, I hope they see this post!

Update….he was neutered yesterday by a feral cat rescue group.  They also chipped him and gave him a rabies and Feline HIV vax.   They estimated his age at between 3 and 5 years old.  He is recovering at my house.  I’d really like to find a forever home for him.   He’s very laid back, sweet, affectionate, and gentle, especially for a feral.   His wounds are healing well, and he appears in good health.  As you can see, he’s also very handsome.  If you or someone you know can commit to him, please call or text 206-501-8526 or email jbutzerin@hotmail.com Thanks.
