From Jennifer: “My neighbors were raking in their yard and came across a dead cat in the bushes. I’ve looked through the lost posts on WSB but didn’t see anything that matches the cats coloring. It appeared to be a long hair Persian. Off-white body with dark brown legs It had been dead for at least 3 weeks. Maybe more. It had no moisture. My husband buried it in their yard. I don’t know what to say in such a sad post. I took a picture of it just for reference. The cat was located between 48th sw / 47th sw and between Juneau and Raymond. So sorry for this loss. I hope this can bring closure to the kitty’s people.
It was found a couple weeks ago. RIP beautiful kitty.”
It is a kind and humane act that you buried it in the yard. thank you. may I suggest you put lime in the area of the burial.
Ok yes we could add lime. Can you elaborate on why you recommend this? Would like to know how it’ is benefits the soil / area. Thank you. I am surprised and bewildered why no family has come forward looking for this dear kitty. It’s been so long. Perhaps it’s person is gone to ? We keep water out for animals all summer long. I keep an eye out for furbabbies. I hadn’t seen this one before.
