The person who hit the dog did stop. The dog ran off and several people chased it.  Perhaps calling emergency vets in the area would help.  I have no idea if someone caught the dog or not.  The person who hit the dog was very upset.

Thank you for the correction on the car and the photos, this was all overhead from the street so some info may not be correct. Glad we have photos and I hope the dog is located.

I saw this dog yesterday and tried to convince him to stay with me.He did not look very hurt.  He was trotting very fast south down 35th and then went east on Holden and then lost him at 27th when he went into a parking lot at the old Navos location and then into backyards where I couldn’t follow.I lost the trail after that. https://goo.gl/maps/9TZ1jwdCdfbx9rwm8I tried to get a picture but I’m pretty sure  it was this dog.Bad picture attached. This was 6pm last night.

Pretty sure that’s him. He has a really curly tail but it straightens out when he’s stressed/anxious.

Is there any food or treat that Bomi loves enough that one can use to help get his trust, or is he normally cautious of strangers?  Will saying his name help get him to come to strangers?  Finally, have there been any recent sightings of Bomi (since Sunday @ 6:00, maybe)?  Two of us were driving around for a while last night looking for him, and we might be able to help search some more.  We’d need a recent spot to start at, though.  :)Good luck, I hope you find your pup… I know how I’d feel if mine got lost.

Hey Bryan,Thank you for looking for him! He loves peanut butter. That is absolutely his favorite. He bolted at Orchard and California. We haven’t had any sightings of him today (Sunday 9/12) unfortunately. He is very sweet but also shy and in this anxious state, he is unlikely to come when called by a stranger. He will come to me or my wife (who is not in Seattle at the moment). The last lead we had about his whereabouts was roughly between 28th-30th and Holden-Kenyon.

A word of caution for anyone that may encounter Bomi and want to tempt him with peanut butter. Please read the label first, and make sure it doesn’t contain the sugar substitute Xylitol which can be highly toxic to dogs. —Mike

I live on 28th between Holden and Thistle and will be on the look out for him. I will also mention it to the other dog-owning neighbors in this vicinity.
