LOST DOG: Sight-impaired Shiba Inu in Gatewood – June 29, 2020 11:42 am

We left for a couple hours yesterday and left our dog home. We have a totally fenced yard and all the gates were closed. When we got home she was missing. We’ve looked everywhere and can’t find her. She’s an 11-year-old Shiba Inu named Kita. She’s black and tan. She’s got glaucoma in her right eye so she can’t see super well. We are in the Gatewood area. Here is a picture of her. Do you think you could post this? We are so confused how she got out and so sad.

Dog looking like yours is shown on Seattle Animal Shelter website under Found Pets!👃

This looks like the dog that was found in the Highpoint tennis/Pickleball courts on Tuesday. The woman that found him and called Seattle animal control waited with him for over two hours. The animal control officer that arrived was wonderful! She was gentle and caring. She scanned the dog and thankfully this dog was chipped! She told us she believed this dog may have been hit by a car as the dog wasn’t able to walk and also had a small injury on her face. The officer very gently picked her up and told us she was taking the dog to a vet—which one we did not know. Hoping this is your dog and that you have been reunited.🥰
