This dog looks very familiar – I think it might live on Stevens in between 59th (my street) and 60th.  The house is on the south side of Stevens with a water feature, fountain, and right next to the alley.  I am almost positive this is where the dog lives!  Is there any way you can go to this house and knock on the door?

      Thank you Annika so much!

Has animal control already picked this dog up?  Please don’t let them take the dog before going to the house first – you found the dog very close to where I am almost positive it lives!

I’ve emailed the finder to flag them to your comment but my impression was that this was already in motion when they emailed us a short time before we posted.

Thank you WSB, yes, I saw this too late to help…  But thank you – maybe the finder can talk to Animal Control and ask them to go to that house.  I just walked down to the house and knocked on the door – no answer and all the dogs inside were barking and looking out the window, but their older shepherd dog was not in there with the other dogs.

Hi,I had already taken this dog to the West Seattle Animal Hospital, on 42nd Ave, per direction from Animal Control. They did confirm she was chipped, and would be reaching out to the owner.

Thanks for the update. In case the owner somehow sees this before getting a call, I’ll note the WSAH involvement above. – TR

Okay – just went back to the house and talked to one of the people who lives there, and yes, this is one of their dogs, Daisy.  I passed on the information, as I had called animal control and was on hold for over 19 minutes without them ever picking up, and so one of the owners is now going to take over trying to get in touch with animal control.  Thank you WSB.  If only I had seen this hours earlier, I could have done more to help.  At least Daisy is fine, so thank you to the person who found her and kept her safe.

Sounds more like the dog might still be at WSAH.

Thank you everyone. Heading to pick her up now!
