WSMomMemberDid you notice the part where she said this work has been going on for 20 years. Sounds to me like she’s been patient and long suffering. If karma is biting anyone it may be the guy with the noisy plastic.
WSMomMemberI like going to Many Moons. They take all my stuff, including mens and kids. What they can’t sell is donated to charity. One stop closet empty is my kind of place. Also, I have found some amazing clothes there as well. I found a little black dress for $15 that is knock down gorgeous. I feel like Jackie O. everytime I put it on.
WSMomMemberI have sent several families to Amanda at Above the Bar Tutoring and everyone has been very grateful and impressed with her work. She has made my life (as a parent of a teen) so much easier and has helped my teen tremendously improve his grades. WSMomMemberI agree wholeheartedly with Zenguy. Sharing lifts much of the weight from my shoulders when I have a problem. Even this anonymous kind of sharing probably helps. In my view, letting the people who care about you know what’s happening in your life allows them to rise to the occasion, to be better people by caring and helping someone besides themselves. WSMomMemberI will call Alki Lumber and mention this thread to the management. I have often thought that a nice wooden fence around the perimeter of the business could showcase their product while improving the overall look of the entrance to West Seattle. As it stands right now, I agree with Sun-e, it is an eyesore.

WSMomMemberMy uncle, a lifelong republican and a very smart man, voted for McCain/Palin. When asked about Palin, he shrugged, smiled and looked away mumbling something about her being pretty ridiculous. Yet he still voted for the republican ticket. I think we ignore Sarah at our nation’s peril. Like Barbara Bush, I’d like her to go back to Alaska. Until she does, I can’t help but take her seriously.
