He came over and gave me a flat quote. They thought it would take 3 days but it took 5 and they stuck to their quote. They were very eager to make sure I was happy and they guarantee their work. Love them !!!

I really do love the B.B. but I’m disappointed to say I just had a less than stellar meal there. It won’t stop me from going back but I guess no place is perfect. I got the $20 chef’s special which started with 2 small salads, a Honey crisp apple one which was nice and the other was a warm parsnips one. I like parsnips but this salad but flat with no outstanding flavors. Next I had a seared scallops dish which was nice but needed salt. Next was the Lamb crepe, which was also nice but I didn’t care for the chutney that came with it. Last was the Pecan pie with creme fresh ice cream. Ice cream was good but the pie was not worth the calories. Next time I will order from the menus and hope it’s as stellar as I’m used to from them.

    Sorry B.B.

I did meet with Jason from Durante & Assocs (in W.Sea) yesterday. He is very nice and is acredited but he is a bit pricey, $150 per hour, which is more than I pay now but I may try him anyway as he got raves from others on the blog.

I wouldn’t say it’s top notch Chinese but I eat there when I have a craving, it’s close.

LOL, Not a raving review is it ?

I was not impressed either, my wings were definitely under-sauced, think I’d rather go to the Tea Room next door.

LOL, I was reading all these comments and I was thinking maybe next time, when ordering the chef’s choice, ask for them to not make their food so damn good, so it will be easier for you to decide what you like. LOL I’m kidding of course.

I agree that their food is beyond amazing and I’m so looking forward to going back.

I think that’s pretty high praise to have folks looking forward to their next visit. : )

Just got home from the Tea Room and it really was lovely. I went by myself to try it out before bringing guests. I sat at the bar and smelled the different teas. It would be nice to be able to buy by the cup so I could try many but they only do that for to-go, so I had a pot. I have no problem drinking a whole pot myself. I also had the Pumpkin Gnocchi, which was nice and light and tasty, but not amazing. I was surprised that they didn’t have a large selection of sweets, as I used to drinking my tea with them but I made do.

I am looking forward to going back and having the little sandwiches and fruit with a friend. Definitely less expensive than Queen Mary, but I do like Q.M. still.

I would be suspicous too. I never give money to anyone going door to door. If you really want to give, make them give you something to mail in a donation.

Wow, you all were so nice. I never heard how the child that was attacked, was doing. I never saw any mention of it in the news.

In this case the Owner as well as the Pit Bull were to blame. As they had adopted the dog only a month ago and clearly did not know or care about it’s history. Yes, the dog was put down.

I did try distracting the dog with a treat but it only worked for a moment and the attack continued. The other problem was that every time my dog tried to leave the dog would attack again.

This is an experience I hope I NEVER have again.

The problem with this fight is that when there were pauses in action, the owners weren’t doing ANYTHING and I wasn’t about to touch Someone else’s aggressive dog. Sounds like the stun gun would have been effective in this case.

Thank you BBGuest for the link to the site. I do appreciate all the tips that are being given.

So Carson, from what I read it’s more of a FOG than a liquid type spray, is that right ?

Carson have you personally used it in a dog fight?

Did it just stop them or make them run away.

I really would like some dog fight advice, Animal Control could not help me and google info is very limited. It makes me want to get a big knife but then that would be considered a concealed weapon, right ?

I’ve heard with Pit Bulls, Mace can just make them more vicious. Do you have experience with this that you can share ?

I’m back to talk some more about my favorite place, Fresh Bistro.

They started out with a BANG for me, so I now expect alot from them. My first 4 meals were really fantastic and I still love them but I’ve had a couple dishes that were not all I hoped.

I’m happy to see that they no longer have the Kalbi Flank Steak on the menu, it had a Funky smell but tasted good.

Last week I had the Gnocchi which was good but a little oily. I have not had all their deserts but I have not been too impressed with the ones I’ve had. Last week I had the Spiced Apply Crisp, just the name alone sounds tasty, but I found it quite bland. Remember I said, I expect alot from them, so to find something bland was disappointing. It need a little zest or zing OR to be made with a different kind of apples. Today I had the Cranberry/Orange bread pudding which was a nice finish to my meal but not Fantastic. I had for lunch the Jerk Chicken sandwich which was Very tasty though messy, but I can deal with that. The goat cheese was a wonderful addition to the sandwich and I would have it again.

Keep it up Fresh Bistro, I’ll be back. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fresh Bistro and NO I don’t work there.

Been there twice just for appetizers but am looking forward to going for dinner.

You MUST try the “Bellies & Beans” and the “Pecan Prawns”, and the salads that go with them, are to DIE FOR.

Oh my, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

Hummm, haven’t had desert there yet, but am looking forward to it.

I did go there for a second time for lunch today. LOVED, did you hear me, LOVED the Pecan Prawns. Oh my, Juicy prawns under that crunchy exterior, makes my mouth water to think about it. AND there was this Amazaing Mango Slaw served with it and WOW, the flavors were fantastic. I usually only like my Mango by itself so I was a bit hesitant to try it but I did and WOW. It was as good as the Bean salad that came with the Salmon Bellies I had yesterday.

Also had the Sweet potato crab cakes. they were good, very well prepared but if I didn’t know it was crab I wouldn’t have guessed. They tasted good but not of crab. There was this WONDERFUL Chipotle sauce on top of each cake that was Really good, could have used more of that.

Springhill move over, there’s a new restaurant in town and it’s better and more affordable than you!

    O M G !!!

I had lunch there today and it was SO VERY GOOD, no Fabulous !!

I just wish I had been hungrier and could have eaten more.

I had the Bellies & Beans, which in my opinion, was the PERFECT DISH.

When I say perfect that means, the Perfect combination of flavors with the Perfect seasonings

It’s rare for me to find a dish that is SO good that it needs nothing to make it better. Bravo on this creation.

I also had the Mussels which was as very good once I figured out it’s best to get a little of all the ingredients in every bite.

I am so much looking forward to coming for dinner, so I can have a cocktail and desert as well.

OH, AND the prices are very reasonable and the and the decor is also very nice.

They are WAY better than Springhill and a better value. I will definitely be back!!! SOON
