I agree 100%. He’s helped us with a couple of projects. He’s the only person we call if we need a plumber.

Anonyme, we need the branches cut back because they’re hanging over the sidewalk and get in people’s way when they’re walking. Do you know if I need a permit for that?

Thank you Maddy & Anonyme for the information.

    Chemist, Thank you for replying.

That’s my problem, I have no idea what I have or don’t have in regards to garage door parts. There used to be an opener there but it’s broken and at least 11 years old.

Congratulations on your newest family member! We have a miniature dachshund who is almost 2.5 years old. Have you called Vanessa and Joe at Camp Crockett? We love taking our dog there because they treat her like their own. I’d love to help out but couldn’t stay at your place. Best of luck!

I absolutely agree with anonyme. I sent Joe the Plumber an email telling him about a chronic problem we’ve had with our bathtub, and that we’ve tried everything. He promptly emailed me back, saying that based on my email he didn’t need to come out, but that we should use this product. I bought it and sure enough … problem was solved. He could’ve come out and charged me, but he didn’t.

Do you know anyone who owns a metal detector? What about seeing if you can rent one? Hoping for the best!

Lisa, thank you so much for responding to my question and telling me a bit about Mary Teresa. I will introduce myself next time I see her.

Great idea Mike, about asking the staff at St. John’s if they have any ideas. I will call them this week.

I believe whether or not a person (neighbor, friend, stranger) accepts someone’s offer of help, at least they know that someone else is concerned about them enough to ask.

Lisa, you’ve inspired me to stop wasting precious time thinking about “what’s the right thing to do so I won’t hurt another person’s feelings,” but to just act and do something! If you’re ever interested in meeting for a walk or a cup of coffee/tea please let me know. You seem like a great neighbor and friend. All my best!

Pattilea, I took my dog there today for a “meet & greet.” Vanessa showed me around the place … One word, awesome! They have a great big backyard where the dogs can run, play, or just enjoy the company of their new friends. I felt at ease right away with how friendly, professional, & knowledgeable Vanessa & Jen are about dogs. Can’t say this enough but thanks so much for telling me about them.

I tried both links you listed and I still wasn’t able to vote because I don’t use Facebook. Just tell me what to do and I’d love to vote for you two. Best of luck!

Hi, I went to the link that was given and just tried to vote. Do I have to have a Facebook account to vote, because I don’t. Please let me know if I can vote another way besides Facebook. Best of luck!

This might sound dumb to some people but … Is there an actual person in the white van/SUV taking the pictures, or is it set up so it takes pictures without needing a person there? Not that it matters, but I was just wondering.

Grog, thank you for sharing that very heartwarming and uplifting story. I can see how it has left an indelible impression on you.

Sbre… I cried reading that story because of how determined you were to help her, regardless of her initial reaction. The fact that you had to run to get to her, and you were in pain could have easily been a reason to think, “Someone else will help her.” Nonetheless that didn’t stop you. Your act of kindness inspires me to take action in whatever way that might be, regardless of if it’s easy and comfortable for me. I’m going to share this story with my children tonight to show them the importance of choosing the right & noble thing to do. Thank you.

People who refer to Africa as a country, e.g. She’s from Africa. Africa is a continent, not a country.

When people say anyways, instead of anyway.

I know it’s been said over & over again, but people who don’t pick up THEIR dog’s poop.
