Saw it, must have been large space junk. Maybe a meteor I’m not expert but I’ve never seen anything remotely like it. Maybe a dozen pieces and lasted a long time

Words have meanings if you don’t respect that in your complaints, statements and requests for colaboration then don’t expect to be taken seriously. This caustic reply falls under the second definition above.

yes I saw that article. Which still doesn’t even air my question. Even seeming to dismiss the concerns of any household with more than 50K of income, as if as long as you don’t loose your house you’re ok.
When I remodeled I included an ADU which the city says it wants; more “affordable” housing. Where’s my property tax break? Nope, it increases the value of my home so tax increase. (On a side note where was any incentive for owner occupied homes to add ADU’s? Nadia it was all incentive for absentee landlords)
I want the city to prosper as it grows and build better transportation and housing options, but if no one is even going to discuss the fairness of the cost burden…then screw it. I’m done voting for anything that increases property taxes; and I doubt I’m alone.
Obviously I feel an income tax is much more “fair” and support the state changing.
“your” second way of looking at the answer doesn’t seem to be based in any system I’m aware of given skyrocketing of both the assessed value of homes and increasing taxes linked to that assessment.
My real point being that trying to build and maintain the ciy’s growing infrastructure based on passing completely unreasonable taxes is not in our best interest in any way.
So no you can’t explain it.
Didn’t say it would “break me”, I’m asking how are the two things reasonably related?
But to respond to the deflection, I’ve lived in it for 20 years and built it myself so both those expenses are reasonable reflections of my income.
I love this thread. And I love both my mother in law AND my MIL Apartment; which is available July 1.
One bedroom apartment plus all utilities included.
not sure if I want to thank you for the diversion this year or ask for the names of who came to get it. ;)
I did witness them stealing a scooter from my neighbor’s yard and made them put it back. Said neighbor set off after them as well to probably pressure them into leaving the area.
Post those photos and notify the cops, these were not legit scrappers.August 28, 2014 at 11:20 pm in reply to: Are barking dogs a problem for you in your neighborhood? #812628July 31, 2014 at 1:30 am in reply to: So painful: the 5-way intersection at Chelan/Spokane/Delridge/West Marginal? #811597
I love it when out of town guests go astray and end up down there (amazing how often it happens though). Keeping them out of there would probably speed things up now that I think about it.
I might clarify, this row is 20ft long….it was a “harvest operation”, taking just the ends off.
I commute to Ballard every day and by and large folks have gotten pretty good at the zipper. Still plenty of folks that merge too early or tries to jam in at the end but it’s gotten much better. When you match speed and leave at least a little room others do the same. Overall though its much better then in the past.
What I’m trying to understand (“get at”) is when we have two very similar public safety and legal violations; why this forum overwhelmingly concentrates on one and not the other. I just think it’s curious.
I don’t see a single reference to breed in any of these posts? It seems to me the objections are rarely breed specific. Off hand it seems the objections are about breaking a law and public safety and frequency of violations. Given how much more dangerous and frequent the cell phone use is it seems like here is something else going on here
The quantity of these threads is interesting to me. It seems that this is very much like talking/texting on a cell phone while driving. I believe I see many more people doing that than dogs off leash but barely ever see long ranting threads about it here. I simply don’t know why off leash dogs garner so much more animosity than other similar civil violations.May 13, 2014 at 4:13 am in reply to: White Escalade on California Speeding This Morning #808254
