Here’s a transcript from KCTS about DARE in Seattle.

We’re going to celebrate by doing something romantic.
We’re going to listen to the police scanner by candlelight.April 30, 2009 at 6:06 pm in reply to: Pathfinder cancels evening program at school as a “precaution” against swine flu #665611
I just got off the phone with the principal at Pathfinder and he confirmed the postponement of tonight’s event. We’ll have some more info on that as the day progresses.
Found the MD-Throwback hiding behind all the other flavors of Dew at the Roxbury Safeway.
It’s just nostalgia Jan. Sugar-powered Dew is all that got me through my senior philosophy paper on Kant’s “Prologema to Any Future Metaphysics.”
Now that we’ve resolved that – anybody seen Mountain Dew Throwback anywhere?April 22, 2009 at 11:52 pm in reply to: McDermott Votes in Favor of Tax for Husky Stadium!!! #664891
Technically there’s nothing wrong with starting two posts on the same subject. Although I might suggest that it might be a good idea for the originator of this and the other thread to pick one and stay with it just for the sake of continuity and time management for all involved.
My grandfather told me about the liquor that had been in federal storage during Prohibition that was sold later in the 30s. He said there were color changes, the gin turned yellow, but it was still fit for consumption. He sold it when he managed the Piggly Wiggly in Klamath Falls.
One of the guys at my college radio station interviewed Soupy. I got to see Soupy walk into the studio.
I will always remember Soupy as the only member of the panel on What’s My Line who knew who Frank Zappa was since Soupy’s kids, Tony and Hunt played in bands with Frank.
At the time I was working with two people who went to high school with Kurt.
You don’t want to know what they thought of him.April 7, 2009 at 4:15 am in reply to: Motorcycle Accident – Cyclists/Drivers be careful out there #663674
I don’t know what the rider was wearing as he was gone by the time I got there. The cycle was one of those low-slung types. Are those what you call a ninja cycle? You know like the one The Bride rode in Tokyo in Kill Bill.
Sorry I know nothing about anything motorized.April 7, 2009 at 4:06 am in reply to: Motorcycle Accident – Cyclists/Drivers be careful out there #663672
Sleep is overrated.
BTW – the police were still figuring out the cause of the accident while I was there.April 7, 2009 at 4:01 am in reply to: Motorcycle Accident – Cyclists/Drivers be careful out there #663669
Just got back from there.
The motorcycle got the worst of it. Per police on the scene – rider was taken away for treatment of cuts, scrapes, and bruises. Traffic was slow going north on Harbor, but traffic was routed around the accident scene while the ambulance and police were there.
I’ll second the Original Bakery down by Endolyne’s.
They make an excellent no-frills donut.
Again – please let me speak to the larger issue of credibility.
If you have information to provide which speaks to the issue at hand then please feel free to share.
If not – as I stated earlier, Tracy and I will be happy to set up a subsection of this page for such a thing.
I will now close this topic and in a few minutes open a new one which I hope will speak to the issue at hand.
If the Forum users would like a place to trade humor and jokes we’ll be glad to set up a section.
In the meantime I would like to remind everyone that one the major reasons this part of the WSB is used is because of the credibility of the information contained in it. Should that veracity be challenged then Tracy and I will take the necessary steps to restore it.
Again – if you need us to set up another section of this page where you can exchange jokes please let us know.March 25, 2009 at 5:09 pm in reply to: WSHS Sr Night-Up all night then go to school next day? #661766
Given Emmy Jane’s reasons for withdrawing the original post in this thread I’ll close it.March 23, 2009 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Where to get a Wall Street Journal in West Seattle? #661421
