@ sewjoey: Laura is my stylist too, and I LOVE her!! I am always being asked who does my hair, and getting compliments on my color. I’m so happy I found Laura upon moving to WS from Cap Hill.

Hey Buddy – I would go to Esquin Wine Merchants in SODO on 4th. This is such a great place with knowledgeable staff. In fact, there is a free tasting this coming Saturday afternoon of French wines. Bet you can learn a lot, and try some out for free! :-) Their prices are very good at Esquin

Thank you Kayleigh – I agree. And again, not everyone can afford a home in this city with a yard! JenV – If what I can afford is a condo or apt, then I shoudln’t have a dog? What kind of comment is that? I guess I should expect that from you as you are the one who wishes a dog would bite me. Nice.

Wow! What nasty comments, and yes, I do have the gall to ask the question. First, I don’t have a yard and secondly, I do not have an overbred, vicious dog. What a presumptious, stupid thing to say. I was simply asking a Todd a question, as I get sick of “do-gooders” at parks when I’m walking my dog. “S” hit the nail on the head with his/her comments – there just isn’t a lot of options.

Todd, was this poddle bothering you or bit you? Why do you care if Subaru guy was “breaking the rules”? Where do you suggest people play catch with their dogs? It’s kind of hard to let a dog exercise on a leash – walks are nice, but some breeds need more exercise than that. Off-leash parks are hard b/c there are usually many other dogs so it’s a challenge to have any space to play catch.

Glad it all went well. Sadly, my team did not win this past Sunday and now I will live out the drought until the NFL season rolls around again. hope the WSB Anti-Freeze group meets again very soon, so I can show up :-)

    Hey All,

Again, I second the motion (started by me) that we schedule another time after the 3rd to meet again. Maybe early march?

My original plan was the Superbowl , but due to a family illness now I will be out of town. :-( Will check this topic again to see if there is an update on meeting another time after the 3rd.

Hi all! I agreed with so many of the posts here, I wouldn’t even know where to start with a reply.

I’m new to WS (LOVE it so much more than my old neighborhood), and am actually noticing more friendliness out here, but I definitely know all about the “Seattle Freeze”. After spending a short time on the east coast in 2006, I know conduct experiments like those discussed here where I purposly make eye contact while out walking my dog, or say hello, or say “Merry Christmas” in December just to see what reaction I get. It’s interesting.

Anyway, I’m up for the Anti-Freeze group, but just not on Feb 3rd :-) Maybe we make this a once-a-month thing?

Sounds like a great idea! I experienced the “seattle freeze” myself many yrs ago, and am now new to WS, so would love to meet some new people.

Will there be another get together after Feb 3rd? I’m a big Patriots fan, so will doing the Superbowl that day. :-)

Thanks for the Luciano’s online ordering info! This is very lazy, but I live behind them on 44th, and some nights, I don’t want to talk to anyone on the phone, nor walk the half-block to pick up. :-)

Cruiser – I concur with this list. Southcenter is the 9th ring of hell. I try to avoid it altogether, but yesterday we had to go there. I experience all 10 on your list, and then this one – people who walk around the mall with zero clue of the space around them!! Like the crazy lady yesterday who was tearing thru Macy’s w/ her stroller, coming right at me. Uh hello, do you even see that I exist, or is your stroller more important than me. Hey, no problem, go ahead and run over my foot…I wouldn’t want to get in your way! Arrrgghhh… Whew, got that out of my system
